Learn the inside scoop, network, hang out with people doing what you want to do, see cutting edge film and new media, immerse yourself in debates of urgency and significance--and have fun! FLEFF PRACTICUM: FLEFF INTERNSHIPS (1 credit) P/F Wed 6:50 -8:05 p.m DIIS 10000 and DIIS 20000 FLEFF Practicum is a one-credit P/F course and competitive internship to work with festival producers who are high profile media industry professionals behind the scenes for FLEFF 2011. DIIS 10000 (first year students at IC), DIIS 20000 (all other students) Course and interns meet once a week during the Spring 2011 semester for training, behind the scenes sessions, and discussions with professors who are media industry and film festival professionals and your new mentors in the entertainment, arts and creative industries. FLEFF 2011 runs from April 11-17, on the Ithaca College campus and downtown at Cinemapolis, Ithaca's non profit art cinema. Internships are open to all students from all majors from all schools at all class standings at Ithaca College. FLEFF actively seeks an intern cohort that represents the entire college. No prior festival or media or arts experience necessary. APPLICATIONS SHOULD BE DROPPED OFF AT DIIS DEAN'S OFFICE IN CHS 214-01, DO NOT DROP OFF TO DR. ZIMMERMANN OR DR. SHEVORY, FLEFF codirectors. Students enrolled as interns in FLEFF Practica are eligible for special discounts on FLEFF passes and also will have special meetings/sessions with FLEFF guests.
