The Ithacan's print edition was also presented with a national Newspaper Pacemaker Finalist award at the event. The Pacemakers, presented each year by the Associated College Press, are the widely regarded as "the Pulitzer Prize of collegiate journalism," and are among the most prestigious student journalism awards in the country. In addition, the paper won second place in the newspaper category in the convention's Best of Show awards; The Ithacan's website received third place in the Web category.
