Barney Beins presented two invited talks at the annual Northeastern Conference for Teachers of Psychology and another talk at the New England Psychological Association convention in Colchester, Vermont on October 8 and 9.

The invited talks were co-presented with colleagues Ken Keith from the University of San Diego, Regan Gurung from the University of Wisconsin--Green Bay, and Ted Bosack from Providence College.
 

One of the invited talks involved the teaching initiatives by the American Psychological Association based on a national conference in which they participated. The second invited presentation revolved around psychological misconceptions and how to overcome them.

The final presentation was a workshop on creating reliable and valid classroom test.

The Northeastern Conference for Teachers of Psychology was started at Ithaca College in 1995. It is now a pre-conference meeting that precedes the annual convention of the New England Psychological Association.
