.....SO I CAN WIN THE APPLE iPAD, THAT'S WHY.....oh, and also to attend some really awesome events, of course!!

The members of the First-Year Experience Coordinating Committee would like to invite all first-year students to attend a series of events designed to highlight the wonderful speakers, films, athletics and performances that happen on our campus all year long!

After a successful year last year, we're happy to announce our NEW line-up of FYE featured events!  Here are our next few featured events:

Monday, November 1, 7:30pm -- Park Distinguished Visitor, James Carville -- Emerson Suites
Thursday, November 11, 7pm -- First-Year Featured Speaker, Bill McKibben -- Emerson Suites
Saturday, December 4, 8:15pm -- Symphony Orchestra Concert -- Ford Hall

At each and every event that you attend, you have an opportunity to enter our raffle pool for a chance to win an Apple iPad!  If you are a first-year student, simply go to the FYE table at each event and fill out a raffle ticket to register.  It’s that easy!  You can only register once at each event, but you can register at every featured event you attend!  We will draw the winning students name at the end of the semester.  We gave away a Dell 10v mini Netbook to one lucky first-year student at the end of the fall '09 semester, and a flat screen TV to another at the end of the spring '09 semester! You could be our lucky winner this semester!!

So be on the look-out for additional featured events!  We post them in your residence halls, on Intercom, on Facebook, on our website, and soon on MyHome!
