Want professional media and festival experience without leaving campus? Want to build your resume in the internationally exploding area of creative economies?

Then apply for a FLEFF team leader position to work with one of the major environmental and human rights  film, video, new media, music, activist and arts festivals in the United States—the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival. Meet filmmakers, musicians, new media artists, industry professionals, writers, distributors, exhibitors, intellectuals, activists.

Applications for Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival 2011 Team Leader positions are now OPEN.

10 FLEFF 2011 team leaders will be competitively selected based on their application and an interview. Open to sophomore, juniors and seniors.

Students with leadership skills, ability to ask questions in a collaborative environment with industry professionals and intellectuals, and an interest in learning first- hand the inner workings of the profit/nonprofit entertainment and festival industries  and  local/global creative economies should apply. 

FLEFF Team Leaders work closely with media industry professionals  and FLEFF codirectors to manage a team of interns to work in outreach, marketing, hospitality, event management, operations and engagement activities for the festival, both on campus and downtown at Cinemapolis

Students from ALL MAJORS and ALL SCHOOLS are strongly encouraged to apply. No prior film or video or new media couses necessary.  No prior festival experience necessary.  No prior FLEFF experience necessary. 

Prior leadership experience in any venue, organization, residence hall, club or sports team a plus but not mandatory. FLEFF team leaders should possess good social skills and abilities to motivate their team to engage the festival and its patrons. Team leaders receive a complimentary festival five pass for  the downtown festival screenings and special coaching from internship coordinators who are media professionals.
