TODAY: On the Verge and Thursdays at the Handwerker present a staged reading of God of Carnage -- a comedy of manners, without the manners!Contributed by Claire Gleitman on 11/11/10
God of Carnage is about two sets of parents from the Cobble Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn who meet to resolve a dispute that erupted between their young sons. Amicable politeness quickly gives way to all-out warfare, as the play lays bare the anarchic underside beneath the adults’ “civilized,” upper-middle class veneers. The reading will take place at the Handwerker Gallery, at 6 p.m. Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Claire Gleitman in the department of English at 274-3893. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible.
