The time has arrived! Where in Ithaca could you possibly get a FREE or really inexpensive professional hair cut? That's right! The Shoshanah Rudnick Inch a Thon sponsored by Hillel and Colleges Against Cancer!
Professional barbers and stylists from the community are generous enough to spend their time cutting hair for a great cause, so you should cut your hair for a great cause too!
Here is the deal:
If you donate 8" of hair or more you get a FREE HAIR CUT!
If you have less than 8" than get your hair cut for ONLY $10.00!
All of the hair will be donated to the Pantene Beatuful Lengths in association with the American Cancer Society (http://www.pantene.com/en-us/beautiful-lengths-cause/default.aspx)
The money from those that are not donating their hair is going to The Chai Lifeline (http://www.chailifeline.org/) whose mission is to 'find ways to bring joy to the lives of their young patients and their families through creative, innovative, and effective family-centered programs, activities, and services'
But wait! There is MORE! We will also be collecting AND making "chemo caps" on the day of the event! Know how to knit? Want to contribute to a great cause? Join us at the Shoshanah Rudnik Inch-a-Thon and knit hats for chemotherapy patients! All you need is a cotton yarn and a pair of needles.
Don't know how to knit? No problem! Bring supplies if you can and come take part in the experience. Gabby Napoli ('13) will be organizing the hats and donating them to a Chemo Caps foundation in time for the holidays
