 Matt Connolly, Writing '11, presented a paper titled "The Indigenist in the Suburbs:  Working Against the Reproduction of Everyday Ghosts" at the Mid-Atlantic Popular/American Culture Association's 21st Annual Conference in Alexandria, VA on Oct. 30. 

 The panel--on Constructing Indigenism:  Case Studies in the Western Gaze--was one of three organized and chaired by Ron Denson, Department of Writing, who serves as Area Chair for Native American Issues for MAPACA.

 

Another panelist--a Harvard grad and Professor of English at San Francisco State University--to Matt after his presentation:  "You're an *undergraduate*?!!"
