Create a multimedia project to thank the donors of Ithaca College and you could win up to $4,000!*

***1st Prize: $4,000***
2nd Prize: $2,000
3rd Prize: $1,000

To learn more about this contest, you're invited to join us for an informational meeting:

Tuesday, November 16
7:00 p.m., Park Auditorium

This contest is a great chance to show our gratitude to Ithaca College's alumni, parents, and other friends who have consistently supported the College over the years -- and have a little fun doing it!

The contest is open to all full-time Ithaca College students. Entrants will be required to enroll in a 1-credit minicourse in the spring 2011 semester. The course will be taught by Associate Professor Tom Nicholson, who will act as a consultant and technical adviser to individuals and teams selected to participate.

At these informational meetings, you'll learn more about the competitive selection process. Contestants will be asked to submit treatments by November 22; from those submissions, a pool of semifinalists will be selected to proceed to the next round. Finalists will be chosen by January 2011. Those finalists will then spend the spring semester creating their multimedia projects and be entered in a contest to win $4,000 (first place), $2,000 (second place), or $1,000 (third place)!

More information will be available at the contest website:
www.ithaca.edu/thankourdonors

The contest is one of nine innovative curricular proposals that were selected as demonstration projects for the second round of the Ithaca College Integrative Curriculum Initiative (a.k.a. "IC Squared"). It is one of several projects affiliated with IC Studio 2.0, an expansion of the IC Studio concept piloted in the first round of (IC)2 demonstration projects that is designed to provide a model for different kinds of media-based interdisciplinary learning opportunities across campus.

(*If a prize is awarded to a team of two or more students, prize money will be split among team members at their discretion.)
