IC Exercise and Sport Science students present at regional American College of Sports MedicineContributed by Jackie Wandell on 11/12/10 Exercise and Sport Sciences faculty Tom Swensen, Gary Sforzo, and Miranda Kaye recently guided six student presentations at the regional meeting of the American College of Sports Medicine.
The presentation by Luke Pryor was nominated and won the award for the best Masters Student Presentation. The presentation by Alana Koehler was nominated for the best Undergraduate Presentation. Koehler will present her work at the upcoming NCUR symposium at IC. Pryor and Dubey will present their work at the national meeting for the American College of Sports Medicine. Last, at the regional conference, the undergraduate team of Michael Fitzpatrick, Nate Bartman, and Julian Riveria represented the Exercise and Sport Sciences Department in the Quiz Bowl competition and they won. The team prepared by the entire department.
