And there will be a discussion with the director of the film, so it's an event you don't want to miss. 6 p.m. "Slingshot Hip Hop": screening of the first feature-length documentary about the Palestinian Hip Hop movement 7:30 p.m. "DAM": a LIVE performance, combining Arabic percussion rhythms, Middle Eastern melodies and urban Hip Hop/Rap 8 p.m. Panel with DAM musicians and "Slingshot Hip Hop" producer Jackie Reem Salloum “Slingshot Hip Hop” is the first feature-length documentary about the Palestinian hip hop movement. At the cutting edge of this emerging Middle Eastern youth culture, it is a fresh, complex and energizing window into contemporary life in Palestine and Israel, and into one of the many identities that Arabs are exploring today.
