Please join the IC International Club in welcoming Kiran Nagarkar, a Fulbright Visiting Scholar, for a reading of excerpts from his important texts on Tuesday, November 30th at 5:30pm in Klingenstein Lounge. 

Kiran Nagarkar is an important novelist, playwright, critic, and screenwriter. Writing in both Marathi and English, he is widely considered to be one of the most significant writers in postcolonial India. His novels include Six Sevens are Forty Three, Ravan and Eddie, Cuckold, and God’s Little Soldier. In addition, he has published highly regarded plays, screenplays, and works of criticism, a number of which have been the focus of heated political controversies. Mr. Nagarkar has been awarded the subcontinent’s most prestigious literary prizes.

He will be reading several short excerpts from his novels, and let us assure you, he is fantastic to listen to! There will also be snacks served.
