Jack Rossen presented a paper, "Circulations of the Cayuga World of Central New York, A.D. 900-1800" and chaired the session, "Archaeology of Circulations." He also received extra funding to visit mound sites of northeastern Louisiana like Poverty Point to enhance his archaeology courses.

David Turkon presented "Problemetizing 'Community': Theoretical and Applied Considerations for Selection Methods in Development Programming in Lesotho." David's paper interrogated notions of community through examination of several agricultural projects administrated by Catholic Relief Services in Lesotho, southern Africa. He highlighted problems that result from selection criteria that assumed community based on shared space or interests, and offered suggestions for overcoming such problems. As Chair of the AIDS and Anthropology Research Group, David also Chaired their annual business meeting which takes place at the AAA meetings.

Brooke Hansen presented a poster titled "Service Learning in Anthropology and the Academy: Lessons from Native America and Hawaii." She also received additional funds to travel to the southern delta region and visit the United Houma Nation, a state recognized Native American tribe, to learn how the BP Oil spill has affected their people and to set up arrangements for Ithaca College students to engage in experiential and service learning with the Houma.

Sue-Je Gage chaired and presented in the panel “Identity Politics in South Korea” with her paper titled “Mixed ‘Race’ Asians and Visual Economy in South Korea.”
