Do you know someone in your family or in your neighborhood who would enjoy some challenging temporary work and some extra cash?

There are temporary positions available in the IC Bookstore beginning January 20th, 2011, and continuing through Friday, February 4th, 2011. Duties include running a cash register, door checking, and assisting with stocking shelves and maintaining the store in neat order.

Candidates must be available for a three-hour orientation period beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 20th, 2011, at the bookstore. Candidates must be available to work Saturday January 22nd and Sunday January 23rd.  Although schedules work hours vary, standard weekly hours are 8:30am - 6:00pm; work schedules will be provided at the orientation session.

Required qualifications: Skills or experience in register or cash handling; good interpersonal skills; enjoy working with the public.  Some experience in retail or bookstore work and working with a point of sale system desired.

Persons age 16 or 17 are welcome to apply but will need to have working papers to present at the orientation. Persons age 18 and older will need to have two forms of identification with them at the orientation. Ithaca College students are not eligible for these positions.
