Jack Powers, assistant professor in the Department of Television-Radio, was recently accepted as a National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) Faculty Fellow. Only 25 NATPE fellows are named across the United States each year. The goal of the Faculty Fellowship Program is twofold: to expose the educational community to current television issues and practices, and to foster improved communication and cooperation between educators and the industry. Powers will receive complete access to the annual NATPE Market & Conference this January in Miami, Florida. Some of the programming includes daily luncheon presentations and conference sessions exploring television programming, distribution, advertising, audience measurement and more.
