Is it because of the past few weeks of bitter cold weather that our United Way Campaign thermometer at the main entrance to campus has stalled? Could you help us get the heat back in this campaign effort and watch the mercury indicator rise? The final weeks of the United Way campaign are upon us, but we still have time to make a valuable contribution to assist those in our community who would so much benefit from your generosity. “When you support United Way, you do more than reach out to people in urgent need, you make meaningful, lasting changes that impact everyone in our community. Together, we can achieve more than we ever could alone.” This statement from the UWTC web site reminds us that we really are more powerful together than alone. Ithaca College employees have shown tremendous generosity to this community fundraising effort throughout the years. Together we could come closer to our goal and continue to touch the lives of many in need. Perhaps you intended to complete your pledge card and send it along to Eileen Patocka in Peggy Ryan Williams Center but have simply not taken a moment to do so. Perhaps you have misplaced your pledge card and haven’t thought to get another to replace it. Simply contact Sally Dietz at sdietz@ithaca.edu, Mark Coldren at mcoldren@ithaca.edu or Eileen Patocka at epatocka@ithaca.edu and we will be sure to get a pledge card to you as quickly as possible. If you haven’t yet made your pledge, please make a point of doing so now. There is still time! Remember that a contribution made through payroll deduction is a most convenient method that will allow you to spread your giving across the year rather than contribute all at once. |
