The Out of the Closet and Onto the Screen film series will host a double feature screening in celebration of the concurrent April observances of LGBT Awareness Month and Math Awareness Month on Wednesday April 6 in Textor 102 at 7 pm.

At 7 pm Decoding Alan Turing
The inventor of the modern computer was a gay man who was persecuted and forced into inhumane medical treatment and eventual suicide.  What other innovations might this great thinker have created? Alan Turing was a brilliant mathematician, logician, legendary innovator, and cryptographer, who was fundamental to cracking the Nazi's Enigma Code during World War II.

And at 7:20 pm  John Nash: A Beautiful Genius
John Nash is a brilliant mathematician and Nobel Prize recipient.  Follow the journey of an extraordinary man from his explosive entrance into the competitive world of mathematics through his diagnosis with schizophrenia, and beyond.

Sponsored by the Ithaca College Center for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Education, Outreach, and Services, the film series this year explores the theme "History and Heroes of the LGBT Movement." Look for an announcement of next year's Out of the Closet film series theme soon!
