What’s New In SGA?

This week in SGA we invited Anthony Hopson, Assistant Vice President of the College, to join us and speak about his position and what he has recently been working on for the college.

We also had guest presenters from Labor Initiative in Promoting Solidarity come and speak to us about a petition they are forming to support Sodexo dining hall workers to give them benefits they claim they are not currently receiving such as a living wage, retirement plan, and job security amongst a few claims the group is making. The group is still in discussion with administrators of the college as well as various groups downtown. We held elections this week for Senior senator positions and Freshman senator positions electing Tariq Meyers ’14 and Chloe Todd ’11. Lastly our senator of the week this week is Rachael Hartford!
