Are you interested in playing Old-Time, Bluegrass or other types of traditional North American folk music?Contributed by Bradley Kolodner on 02/03/11 The Traditional Music Club is IC's newest music club formed with the intention of connecting students who have an interest in traditional music. The club is also open to Ithaca College faculty and staff members. Whether you play or have an interest in learning Southern Old-Time, Bluegrass, Contradance, or any kind of North American folk music, this club is for you! The club will host weekly jams (Tuesday nights for now) on campus where we'll share tunes and learn a variety of traditional music styles. No previous experience playing traditional music is required. If you're interested in joining or learning more about the club, please contact the club's president Brad Kolodner at bradkolodner@gmail.com We will have a table set up at the club fair on February 8th in Emerson Suites. Stop by and let us know if you're interested! |
