The music fraternities at Ithaca College, Sigma Alpha Iota, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, and Mu Phi Epsilon are in their 2nd week of hosting recruitment events for members interested in membership. These events allow students to come enjoy the planned event, meet fraternity members, and learn about the fraternity. None of these fraternities haze. Sigma Alpha Iota is an international, professionally-oriented music fraternity for women of all majors. Sigma Alpha Iota is an organization which promotes interaction among those who share a commitment to music. Their next recruitment event is Red and White Night on Monday, February 7th at 8PM in T9. Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia is a professionally-orientated all male social fraternity for all majors.. The Object of this Fraternity shall be for the development of the best and truest fraternal spirit; the mutual welfare and brotherhood of musical students; the advancement of music in America and a loyalty to the Alma Mater. Their next rush is Casino Night on Friday, February 11th in 1207 (Whalen Center for Music). Mu Phi Epsilon is a professional co-ed music fraternity for music majors and minors. They strive to serve others through music. The fraternity has as its purpose the advancement of music in America and throughout the world, the promotion of musicianship and scholarship, loyalty to the Alma Mater, and the development of a true bond of friendship. Their next rush is Mac N' Games on Wednesday, February 9th at 8PM in 3302 (Whalen Center for Music). Any questions, feel free to contact the presidents listed below.
