Ithaca College

The Lab is a space where students can create and edit multimedia projects that include graphic design, audio, and video elements.

Located on the 3rd floor of the Library, Phase I of the Digital Media Lab (DML) is equipped with three iMac computers and flatbed scanners. Use Final Cut Express and Adobe Premiere Elements software to edit video files. Sound files can be cleaned and edited using Audacity. The Adobe Creative Suite 5 supports the creation of print and web-based media. In addition, there are tables and power outlets for laptop use.

The Library is very pleased to announce that Phase II of the DML has been selected as the 2011 Class Gift. Funds raised during the Gift campaign will be used to renovate the entire Lab and to create additional collaborative spaces, which will open in the Fall of 2011. 

Phase II will include a Practice Presentation space with a whiteboard and a 60" plasma screen for students to create and refine class projects and presentations. Another space will house three Collaboration Stations with wall-mounted 32" LCD monitors and central docking stations for hooking up and displaying content from individual laptops to a group.
