Ed Tech Day Parking Plan In order to accommodate our visitors for Ed Tech Day, we need to utilize the following parking areas: "U" Lot, the BLUE section of "O" Lot, and the "S" Lot Extension (RED) parking lots. These areas will be unavailable for regular use from 5:00AM– 5:00PM on Thursday, March 24th. Faculty and Staff who usually park in "U" or "O" lot should use "Z" and "C" lots. Students should utilize "Y" lot. Please refer to the campus parking map to identify these respective parking areas. A special shuttle will be making a loop between "Z" and "Y" lots and the Textor Flagpole from 7:00AM to 9:30AM, and 3:00PM to 5:30PM. Ed Tech Day is an important event for the campus, and outside of some athletic events and commencement, it is arguably the largest public showcase event that we hold. We hope that you take advantage of this great free event – please visit the Ed Tech Day website for the complete schedule and details. Alternative Transportation Options We encourage all faculty and staff, where feasible, to take advantage of TCAT public transit and ride the bus to campus on these days. Faculty and staff need only present their valid IC ID to board the bus and ride for free. TCAT will follow its normal schedule and routes during these two event periods; for more information about TCAT routes and schedules, visit the TCAT website. You are also encouraged to check out the new Zimride Tompkins community-wide ridematching site to offer to share or find a ride to/from campus. Visit the Zimride Tompkins website. Ithaca Carshare members can always take advantage of that program to meet their short-term transportation needs. Use the on-line or phone reservation system to check out the Ithaca Carshare-logo car parked next to the Park Center for Business. Visit the Ithaca Carshare website. Thanks in advance for your cooperation In past years, we have parked our visitors at the South Hill Business Campus and shuttled them to campus, but that is not an option this year. For future Ed Tech Days, we anticipate that we will be able to use the new parking areas that will come on-line as part of the A&E Center. So please understand that this is a one-time inconvenience that offers you a great excuse to try out a new way to get to work or school! We greatly appreciate your understanding in adjusting your transportation and parking plans tomorrow.
