Active Minds wants to celebrate you! On Tuesday March 22nd in IC Square from 7-9:30 pm, the club will be hosting Everybody Matters, an exciting event that promotes mental health and well-being through music, spoken word, and other artistic performances! It's time to take back your mental health! Everybody Matters is an event that works to promote mental health awareness, reduce the stigma around mental illness, and bring attention to the over-usage of stereotypical, offensive, and miscontrued words that hurt so much more than they help! Members from the Spread the Word to End the Word movement will also be in attendance! In addition to amazing performances by IC Circus, Maria Shismanian and several other musical guests, as well as some moving discussion from fellow members of the Ithaca College Community, there will be plenty of free coffee, tea, cookies, and fruit to go around, and the first 75 guest to show up will receive awesome goody bags! Think it's time to celebrate you? Active Minds thinks so too! We cannot wait to see you at Everybody Matters! In addition to Active Minds, Everybody Matters is graciously supported by the following members of the Ithaca College community: CAPS and the Center for Health Promotion, Students Today, Alumni Tomorrow (STAT), the Student Government Association, and the Ithaca College Trifund - the offices of The President, Provost, and Vice President of Student Affairs and Campus Life! Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact Active Minds at icactiveminds@gmail.com. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible. |
