Conflict Minerals in Eastern Congo: How can Ithaca College help?Contributed by Rachel Merkin on 03/20/11 Please join us this Thursday at 12:10 in Textor 103 for what promises to be an informative and eye-opening discussion. This Thursday the Ithaca College STAND (Student Anti-Genocide Coalition) chapter will be holding an open forum in Textor 103 during the lunch hour (12:10-1:00) to discuss the conflict mineral trade occurring in eastern Congo. STAND representatives will also share our Conflict Free Campus initiative for Ithaca College and the necessary actions we are taking to address the human rights violations that continue in the Congo. All Ithaca College students and faculty are invited to partake in the discussion, or to gain information about the conflict. |
