 Music Ed Faculty Member Conducts at Broome County Music Festival

Emily Mason, Assistant Professor in Music Education, was the invited conductor and clinician for the Broome County Elementary Honor Choir, March 11-12, 2011.

Approximately 170 fifth and sixth grade students from the Broome County school district participated in the 2011 All County Elementary Chorus.  Dr. Mason held rehearsal for the group on Friday afternoon/evening and again on Saturday morning. The weekend ended with a concert at Binghamton University in the afternoon on Saturday, March 12th.  One great benefit of being a music educator is making beautiful music with children, and this weekend was a superb example!
