On Sunday, May 22, 2011, Ithaca College’s One Hundred and Sixteenth Commencement exercises will be held. Many of us have had daily contact with the fine young men and women of the 2011 graduation class, and have played an important role in their experience at Ithaca College. To ensure that the Commencement exercises are carried out in an orderly, distinguished manner, we are requesting your help to serve as an usher. This function is vital as many guests are not familiar with the College, its buildings and their location. The duties will vary according to your specific assignment. Program distribution, guest seating, answering questions and giving directions, are all things that you could be called upon to do to help maintain a dignified and orderly ceremony. If you are willing to help by working as an usher on this special day, please go to: https://www.ithaca.edu/commencement/docs/usherparticipation/ Print the Usher Participation Form, complete, and mail to: Suzanne Smith, Student Affairs and Campus Life, 339 Egbert Hall Please return your form by Friday, April 29, 2011. Non-exempt/hourly employees who assist in this event will be paid time and a half based on their 37.5 hour work week by the Office of Student Affairs and Campus Life. Your help is very much appreciated. |
