ATTENTION JUNIORS: It's time to think about Fulbright applications!Contributed by Hugh Egan on 03/24/11 The Fulbright Program is an opportunity to study abroad after graduation. Awards range from study or research projects in countries across the globe, to teaching English and American literature to high school students in any of a wide range of countries. The deadline for applications for 2012-2013 awards is September 15, 2011. Information on the various awards and application materials can be found at www.fulbrightonline.org (Click on U.S. Students, then read the topics under “Program Overview,” “Country Summaries,” and “Preparing an Application.”) If you are interested in participating in a program of study abroad the year after graduation, you should see Hugh Egan (306 Muller) as soon as possible, but absolutely before leaving campus this semester. He’ll be happy to answer questions, explain more about the program, talk about how to write a competitive application, explain what you should do over the summer with regard to the application, etc. |
