Dr. Carl Johengen, an Assistant Professor of Voice in the School of Music, in keeping busy this year with conducting engagements throughout upstate New York.

Dr. Carl Johengen, an Assistant Professor of Voice in the School of Music, was invited to lead high school All-County Festival choruses in Alleghany County and Oswego County this year. In past years, Johengen has led festival choruses in Sullivan, Tompkins, and Ontario/Yates/Seneca counties, as well as Area All-State choruses in Zones 4 and 15.

Johengen will lead the Cayuga Vocal Ensemble, the city of Ithaca's premier chamber choir, in two performances this Spring. The group will be performing on Sunday, March 27 at 7:00 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church in Elmira, and on Sunday, April 10 at 3:00 p.m. in Ithaca's First Presbyterian Church. The program, "Bass-ically Treble-making", includes music for men's and women's voices by Mendelssohn, Lully, Durufle and others. For more information, visit www.cayuga-vocal.org.
