Coping with the death of a loved one does not have to be a solitary experience.  Living with Grief is a weekly drop-in support group for students who have experienced the death of a loved one.

The group meets at 5:15 every Thursday in the Health Promotion Resource Room (right down the hall from CAPS).

Recent group participants want you to know you are not alone.  And, if you know someone has experienced a loss, don't be afraid to ask open-ended questions, like:

  • How did it happen?
  • When did it happen?
  • What happened?
  • Tell me something about ...

There is no timetable for when the grief process ends, it just changes over time.  So, whether you've experienced a loss recently or some years ago, you are welcome at Living with Grief.

Individuals needing accommodations should contact lrankins@ithaca.edu as soon as possible.
