IC Trombone Troupe Performs at Eastern Trombone WorkshopContributed by Molly O'Shea Polk on 03/31/11
The Ithaca College Trombone Troupe continues a rich tradition of trombone ensembles ar IC for over 40 years. Led by Professor Hal Reynolds, Music Director and Advisor to the group, they recently performed at the prestigious Eastern Trombone Workshop. The Eastern Trombone Workshop has become one of the largest annual events for trombone in the world. The workshop’s mission is to give students, performers, and educators an opportunity to meet and share ideas, talents, and opinions about the world of trombone. ETW is the only professionally organized and staffed trombone workshop or conference in the United States. Soloists, educators, and students—as well as university and college trombone ensembles from around the world—attend the workshop annually. Please visit the new Trombone Troupe website for information on new and upcoming events, including the Sunday, April 17th concert, featuring trombone choirs from Eastman, Penn State, Crane, Boston University, and Ithaca College. |
