Susan Avery, Associate Professor of Music Education, is presenting "How to Start and Maintain an Adult Community Chorus" at MENC All-Eastern conference in Baltimore this week.

MENC, the Music Educators' National Conference, hosts a biennial in-service conference that brings together music educators from 13 states. Her topic will be helping those who wish to work with adult singers in a choral ensemble to either begin or maintain a chorus. The topic of adult and lifelong learning is of great interest to the profession and Dr. Avery's experience as the conductor of both the faculty-staff chorus (IC voICes) and her community chorus (Seneca Singers) allow her to speak to the profession with enthusiasm and knowledge.
