As part of Sodexo’s Tour of North America series, Ithaca Dining Services events are held periodically throughout the semester to give students and faculty a variety of different tastes and cultures of North America.

“Surf’s Up: West Coast Style San Francisco and Seattle,” will take place at the Campus Center Dining Hall on April 6th during dinner. The event will feature popular main courses, appetizers, and desserts from the west coast in addition to fun, interactive activities that will expand student’s knowledge of these multicultural cities.

The Campus Center menu on April 6th will feature a wide array of specialties for students to indulge in from San Francisco and Seattle cuisines.  Sodexo Campus Services Executive Chef Roger Guarino has created this delicious menu:

Classics Line: Gingered Salmon, Seattle Fire Station 25 Meatloaf, Wild Rice, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Sweet and Spicy Green Beans, Corn and Zucchini Melody, Soup: “So Long Soup, Seattle Times”, Deli Special: San Francisco Pitas, Grill: Seattle Cream Cheese Dogs, Vegetarian: Sweet Pepper Pasta Toss, Exhibition: Cioppino, Pizza Special: San Francisco Pizza.

In addition to our special menu, students, faculty, and staff will get a chance to participate in exciting trivia! Our trivia game incorporates questions about Seattle and San Francisco’s geography, culture, and miscellaneous fun facts. Those participants who answer a certain amount of questions right will win fun prizes, such as hats, shark tooth necklaces, and more!

The wide variety of themed decorations, music, food, and games will set the vibe and allow those in the dining hall to escape into the west coast city life. Students, faculty, and staff will not want to miss out on this exciting night of food, friends, and fun!
