Congratulations to John Harris, cook at La Vincita, for winning the District Sodexo Experience Award! The Sodexo Experience Award is given to engaged and motivated employees who provide outstanding customer service.

John’s nomination was selected by a committee of several nominees from Western and Central New York Sodexo campuses. John was nominated by his supervisor, Paul Warrender, Retail Operations Director for Sodexo Campus Services.

“John is absolutely one of our most loyal and dedicated employees: here no matter what the weather or circumstance, helping fellow employees always, and preparing some of the best food that we offer. John’s personal touch keeps our customers returning for more of the same, again and again. We are privileged to have John Harris on our staff,” commented Warrender.

Additionally, Candace Ross, Senior Assistant Director, Student Financial Services submitted a complement about John’s outstanding service to Warrender: “While John has a very quiet demeanor, he always provides exceptional customer service. In addition to making the best omelettes and breakfast sandwiches, John is courteous, conscientious, and goes the extra mile to please customers. He always offers to wrap our meals to keep them warm because he knows we visit from across campus. In today’s work environment, all too often we hear complaints; little attention or acknowledgement is given to the exceptional employee who goes above and beyond to satisfy customers. I wanted to take a moment today to acknowledge John and share, from a customer’s perspective, what a wonderful representative he is to your company.”

John Harris has worked for Sodexo (Ithaca Dining Services) since August, 2009.
