Our Wetlands: A Community Treasure The Cayuga Lake Watershed Network and Montezuma Audubon Center Savannah, NY will host talks and a tour about local wetlands on April 9th, 2011. For complete details on the **free** Symposium please see www.cayugalake.org Representatives from NYS Canal Corporation, Ducks Unlimited, SUNY ESF and The Nature Conservancy will explain wetland management strategies and how they have far reaching impacts on our economy and quality of life starting at 10 am. The stage will be set for the talks during welcomes and introductions beginning at 9:30 am. A walking tour of the Audubon Center grounds will start after lunch. Coffee and refreshments will be provided, there will be an opportunity to order lunch during a coffee period from 9:00 – 9:30 am, or bring your own. This event is being coordinated by the Cayuga Lake Watershed Network and Montezuma Wildlife Refuge, with additional support from the Cayuga Lake Watershed Intermunicipal Organization and the Friends of Montezuma. All of these organizations are dedicated to protecting the quality of our water resources.
