“Education & Beyond: Issues in Post-Katrina New Orleans” Panel DiscussionContributed by Lyndsey Lyman on 04/11/11 Want to learn more about the current situation in New Orleans? Join us on Wednesday April 13th from 7-9 p.m. in Clark Lounge in the Campus Center for an informative panel discussion hosted by Audrey’s House. The panel will include Ithaca professors and IC affiliates who work in New Orleans at various points during the year on issues such as education, rebuilding homes, psychological effects of the storm including PTSD & depression, as well as the storm’s effect on Native American populations. Attendees will be able to hear the panelist’s stories and ask them questions. Please bring the following school supplies if you are able as they will be donated to disadvantaged children in the 7th and 8th wards through St. John #5 Faith Church. Supplies needed most: pens, pencils, notebooks, binders, dividers, loose leaf paper, calculators The panel is free and open to the general public. Thanks and see you there!
