IC Alumna Kate Fields ('10) and Professor Danette Johnson co-authored a scholarly research article that will appear in an upcoming issue of Communication Quarterly.

The article is titled "Negotiating the Autonomy-Connectedness Dialectic in Adolescent Television Dramas: An Up-Close Look at Everwood, Seventh Heaven, and Veronica Mars."

A communication studies major (formerly speech communication major), Kate began the research as her honors thesis last year. She and Professor Johnson have continued to develop the work while Kate has been working at 103.3 FM as a marketing consultant.  She is also the "Hits Girl" at the radio station.  For Professor Johnson, this is the third published article with a student co-author.
