 Several members of the Department of Music Theory, History and Composition participated in the 40th annual meeting of the Music Theory Society of New York State.

 The meeting was held Saturday and Sunday, 9-10 April, on the campus of the University at Buffalo.  David Pacun, Associate Professor, chaired a session on music of Britten and Schoenberg.  Tim Johnson, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professors Deborah Rifkin and Peter Silberman, are board members of the organization.  Mary Arlin, Professor Emerita, and Anna Stephan-Robinson, Assistant Professor, also attended the meeting.  Rebecca Jemian, Associate Professor, served as Program Chair for this year's meeting; twenty papers and an archive presentation were given in addition to a keynote speech.
