Online registration for fall 2011 semester begins on April 25.
As you may be aware, registration this semester will operate somewhat differently than in the past. Registration will no longer open at 7:00 a.m. each morning. Rather, access to registration will be staggered throughout the day based on a specific assigned time.
As in the past, registration access on specific days was based upon a combination of major program information and class standing. That basic formula is still in existence for the upcoming online registration for fall classes. Students will still have access on the same day they normally would have; the difference is we have divided them into smaller groups that will have access to the system at different points in the day. Here is the access schedule set up for registration:
Registration groups and access times (staggered):
MONDAY, April 25: 9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m.
Population: Graduate students, IC Honors program, Exploratory program, Pre-Professional Health program
TUESDAY, April 26: 9:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 12:00 noon, 2:00 p.m., 3:30 p.m.
Population: Current seniors (students with 90 or more earned credits)
WEDNESDAY, April 27: 9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m.
Population: Current juniors (students with 60 to 89.99 earned credits)
THURSDAY, April 28: 9:00 a.m., 10:30 a.m., 12:00 noon, 2:00 p.m., 3:30 p.m.
Population: Current sophomores (students with 30 to 59.99 earned credits)
FRIDAY, April 29: 9:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m.
Population: Current freshmen (students with 0 to 29.99 earned credits)
Students who are eligible to register will be assigned a Registration “Time Ticket.” This “Time Ticket” will determine the EARLIEST date and time a student will be able to register. Once the student's date/time arrives, his/her Ticket remains open throughout the scheduled registration period. Students should not attempt to guess their access time. Instead, they must log on to HomerConnect to view their “Time Ticket.”
Time Tickets will be assigned on Monday April 11. Once a Time Ticket assignment has been made, there will be no changes or reassignments. Students must have a Time Ticket in order to register. Students graduating in May, July or August will not receive a Time Ticket. Students who do not have a Time Ticket but want to register for fall classes should send an e-mail to homer@ithaca.edu.

To see their assigned Time Ticket, a student MUST log onto HomerConnect and do the following:
- Click on the “Student, Financial Aid, and Residential Life” link
- Click on the “Registration” link
- Click on the “Registration Status” link
- Make sure to Select Fall 2011 as the Term to view
- Click Submit to view your Time Ticket and other important registration Status
information.
