Nancy Ramage, Art History Professor Emerita, Publishes Articles and Gives LecturesContributed by Julia Yang on 04/11/11 Nancy Ramage, Dana Professor of the Humanities and Arts Emerita, formerly in the Art History Department, has lately published four articles, given a lecture series, and led a tour in Budapest. Her recent articles are entitled: "Drawings of Ancient Gems: Flaxman, Dagley, and Wedgwood," in Ars Ceramica; "Gertrude Stein's Brooches," in the Metropolitan Museum Journal; "The English Etruria: Wedgwood and the Etruscans," in Etruscan Studies; and "'Painted Etruscans:' Wedgwood's Etruria and the Greeks," in the Proceedings of the Wedgwood International Seminar. In addition, her review of Mary Beard's The Fires of Vesuvius: Pompeii Lost and Found is being published in The Classical Bulletin. Lastly, Nancy just returned from a 10-day tour that she organized and led: "Art Tour of the Unknown Treasures of Budapest." |
