Celebrate LGBT Awareness Month

Contributed by Luca Maurer on 04/11/11

April is LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) Awareness Month.

The Center for LGBT Education, Outreach, and Services -- in collaboration with a variety of campus student groups, departments, offices, and community partners -- will host events and learning opportunities focusing on LGBT themes throughout the month.

This year there are many opportunities to learn about and celebrate the unique contributions and experiences of LGBT and Allied people. Upcoming highlights include guest speakers, film screenings, facilitated discussions, workshops, nearby conferences, and much more.

A schedule is available on the LGBT Center website, and a partial schedule was published in the March 31 issue of the Ithacan.

Additional events continue to be planned by a variety of campus groups and departments, and will be added when details are confirmed

Don't see your event listed?  Questions? Contact Lis Maurer, LGBT Center program director, for a complete events listing or with any questions (lmaurer@ithaca.edu).
