On Monday, April 11, the Ithaca College community received a big treat from Mark Horvath, the founder of InvisiblePeople.tv and We Are Visible, two websites that empower homeless people to tell their own stories. Mark was on campus the entire day, speaking in a television-radio class, a marketing class and a journalism class to talk about his media expertise, show how the face of communications is changing, and demonstrate how Twitter can be used for good.

Mark, who flew in from Los Angeles, was brought to campus as part of IC Habitat for Humanity's month-long advocacy campaign, Act! Speak! Build!

His visit was funded by the Student Government Association, the Residence Hall Association, the Diversity Awareness Committee, the Dept. of Health Promotion and Physical Education, the Park Center for Independent Media, Residential Life, the Dept. of Sociology and the Dept. of Politics.
