THE CONSTRUCTIONISTS ARE RUNNING FOR SGA EXECUTIVE BOARD 2011-2012!Contributed by Julia Dunn on 04/14/11 The party consists of: President: Scott Nachlis VP of Academics: Eve Trojanov VP of Business & Finance: Robert Hohn VP of Campus Affairs: Rachel Heiss VP of Communications: Rob Flaherty The Constructionists are focused on three main objectives: Spirit, Accountability and Collaboration.
The party’s Building Plans include, but are not limited to: Tuition Costs and Spirit- We seek to initiate a program that would sell spirit apparel and merchandise. All the money raised would go directly to fellow IC students that have experienced financial strain. Change the Course Registration Process- Our VP of Communications has created an SGA committee to address the Registration Process and develop a survey to get student feedback. Advance the Shuttle Proposal (VTP) – We will hold ourselves and others accountable to obtain tangible results on this proposal. Our VP of Campus Affairs took over this SGA committee within the last month. Place more Students on Administrative Committees- Too many decisions are being made that directly affect students without student input and feedback. Students need to be heard and involved in decision making. Build more IC traditions- We aim to create an annual Spirit Week and/or Social Event that would have a huge impact on the academic year. Post Suggestion/Comment Boxes around Campus- Pre-addressed envelopes to the SGA office would be around campus, to make sure YOUR VOICE IS HEARD. SGA has the responsibility to keep the student body informed about what they’re doing to help the students. REMEMBER TO CHECK YOUR IC EMAIL ON April 15 at 12 p.m. and VOTE FOR Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodation should contact the Constructionists at, constructionists.ic@gmail.com. Please make requests for accommodation as soon as possible.
