Pearl Ponce, History, Invited to Present at Border Wars SymposiumContributed by Jason Freitag on 04/20/11 On April 6-8, Assistant Professor of History Pearl Ponce was invited to present at a Border Wars Symposium at Kansas University's Hall Center for the Humanities sponsored by their Peace, War, & Global Change Seminar. The symposium gathered scholars of the Kansas-Missouri border region whose work focuses on the "Bleeding Kansas," Civil War, and Reconstruction eras to discuss how societies fragmented by ideology splinter and then are rebuilt.
