Come see and learn about the IC Garden! (no, not the one near Williams... the bigger one!)Contributed by Amber Zadrozny on 04/19/11 For Earth Week, the Organic Growers of IC are hosting a walk down to the garden to take a look at what we've done and to do some activities. On Friday, April 22nd we will meet at the bus stop outside the park school at 1pm, and then walk down to the garden together.
Funded by the Department of Environmental Studies and Sciences, the Office of the President, Office of the Provost, the Sustainability at Ithaca Program, and the Division of Student Affairs and Campus Life. Individuals with disabilities requiring accommodations should contact the Organic Growers of IC at gardenIC@gmail.com. We ask that requests for accommodations be made as soon as possible. I'm curious as to what happened to the college's Centennial Garden. This garden was planted as part of the college's centennial celebrations and located to the right of the Dillingham Center where the turtle bridge and slate walkways are located. The Centennial Garden disappeared a few years ago. I'm sure others besides myself would like to know what happened to it and why.
