Ryan Bince will be presenting "Lucky's Choice of Words: A Peek into the Mind of Samuel Beckett,"  a critical interpretation of Lucky’s logorrhea in Samuel Beckett’s

Waiting For Godot.

Bince uses semiotic theory to find intention and meaning in Lucky's monologue.   He argues that Beckett skillfully encodes his ideas as  second order signifiers so that the reader subconsciously decodes the general theme of the monologue without ever having a perfect understanding of what is said.
