Campus-community research and film projects conducted by IC students debut at Cinemapolis.

From the innovative Ithaca College IC Square course titled "Collaborating the Visual:  Ethnographic Research and Filmmaking," where Dr. Changhee Chun (Cinema, Photography and Media Arts) and Dr. Sue-Je Gage (Anthropology) combine their respective disciplines into one class, four student production teams have created ethnographically-based documentaries on local issues. Come see the debut work of K3 Productions on Ithaca College and Asian American Studies, Pickle Productions on Ithaca party life, Etic Productions on education and Native American history, and Group 2 Productions on Tibetan Buddhism in Ithaca.  Films to be screened at Cinemapolis on Saturday, May 7th from 5:00pm to 7:00pm. There will also be an on-campus screening on Monday, May 9th at 6:00-9:00pm in Textor 103.  Both events are free and open to the public. Contact Sue-Je Gage at sgage@ithaca.edu for further information.  Contact mboule1@ithaca.edu for persons requiring accommodations.
