The 2011 International Society of Bassists Convention is being held June 6-11, in San Francisco. Playing the featured performance on the final day among peers is a huge honor that will give Nicholas the opportunity to play with Bill Mays, and amazing pianist and someone he has wanted to play with for two decades. 

His planned program is eclectic and fun - a classical and jazz and pop crossover.   It is accessible and melodic, featuring a variety of fun pieces.   This includes a composition based on the 1970's musical, Grease!, several Beatles arrangements, Bach's "Air on the G string", his own composition entitled, "Pop Song for Double Bass and Piano", and a Bill Evans Waltz called "Very Early".
