Come enjoy an evening of music, dance and literature with Kiran Nagarkar an Indian novelist, playwright, film and social critic and Fulbright Scholar (Ithaca College) and friends! Saturday May 7th at 8:00 p.m. at the Hockett Family Recital Hall, Whalen Building. Free and Open to the Public

 

This collaborative interdisciplinary event brings together artists, faculty and students from the South Asia Program at Cornell University, The Departments of Theater Arts and Anthropology at Ithaca College with local performers.

This performative event includes Modern and Odissi dance, Western classical and Indian classical musics and much much more! Max Buckholtz composer, Lindsay Gilmour and Durga Bor choreographers. Other members of the ensemble include Denise Nuttall (tabla), Lucas Ashby (electric cello and percussion), Chris Seeds (piano and harmonium, and Mark Wienand (flute and soprano saxophone).

A second performance will take place at the Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts, Cornell University Sunday May 8th at 2:00 pm. as part of the Locally Grown Dance Festival. Please note this performance contains adult material and parental discretion is advised.
