Ithaca College

Following the announcement by Dean Steven Siconolfi that he will not be returning to Ithaca College at the conclusion of his current leave, I would like to announce that Acting Dean John Sigg will continue in his current leadership role, holding the title of Interim Dean for the School of Health Sciences and Human Performance.  Interim Dean Sigg's engagement in this newly defined role will begin immediately and continue through academic year 2011-12.

Dean Sigg has done an outstanding job as acting dean during this past spring semester and the college can count on his continued excellent leadership for the coming year.  I am so grateful to John for his willingness to contribute in this significant and critical manner.

A search for a permanent dean of HSHP will be held and information about this process will be forthcoming in the weeks ahead.  Thank you to John and to his excellent colleagues in HSHP for their dedicated efforts during this transitional period.
