Ithaca College

There are temporary positions available in the IC Bookstore beginning Thursday, August 25th, 2011, and continuing through Friday, September 9th, 2011. Duties include running a cash register, door checking, and assisting with stocking shelves and maintaining the store in neat order. 

Candidates must be available for a three-hour orientation period beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 25th, 2011, at the Bookstore. Candidates must also be available to work on Saturday, August 27th and Sunday, August 28th.  Although scheduled work hours vary, standard weekday hours are 8:30- 6:00pm, work schedules are provided at the orientation session.

Required qualifications: Skill or experience in register or cash handling; good interpersonal skills; enjoy working with the public. Some experience in retail or bookstore work and working with a point of sale system desired.

Persons age 16 or 17 are welcome to apply but will need to have working papers to present at the orientation. Persons age 18 and older will need to have two forms of identification with them at the orientation. Ithaca College students are not eligible for these positions.
